Support for Student Visa
To obtain the status of residence "Student," "Certificate of Eligibility (COE)” needs to be acquired.” Tokyo Metropolitan University can apply on behalf of international students who do not reside in Japan. Applicants who wish to receive this support should submit “Student Visa Support Request Form" along with their application documents.
Please note that this support is only available for those applying for the status of residence "Student" and does not cover obtaining a “Temporary Visitor Visa" for purposes such as taking an entrance exam in Japan.
Procedure Flow

※ It takes 2 to 3 months from the application for the Certificate of Eligibility (COE) to be issued by the Immigration Services Bureau. Please prepare the following documents before the announcement of the entrance exam result so that you can submit them immediately when contacted by the International Affairs Office, Tokyo Metropolitan University.
Documents Required for Application for Certificate of Eligibility
The Speed Visa system will be used for the preparation and submission of application documents. An invitation email from Speed Visa (sender: SpeedVisa Support Team) will be sent to your EMAIL address you provided in the " Student Visa Support Request Form." Please accept the invitation and complete the preparation and submission of documents by the deadline.
※ All documents must be prepared in Japanese or English. If the documents are in a language other than Japanese or English, please attach a translation in Japanese or English.

The financial supporter's signature is required. If the applicant themselves is going to be the financial supporter, please consult the International Affairs Office before preparing the documents. |
