Request for Scholarship Grant Period Extensions

If a Japanese government scholarship research student wishes to advance to a higher-level program, he/she must pass the graduate school entrance examination and apply to MEXT for an extension of the scholarship grant period.

Paths to Higher Programs

• ○Path 1: A research student advances to the master’s program
• ○Path 2: A research student advances to the doctoral program
• ○Path 3: A master’s student advances to the doctoral program
