International Exchange Activities

To develop human resources with an international perspective, TMU provides a wide variety of programs and events. Don’t miss the chance to enhance your skills and international ability.

  • International Student Seminar

    Information provided for international students’ safe and comfortable everyday life and information on opportunities provided for international students for better understanding of each other, and different cultures including Japanese culture by sharing group work and hands-on experiences with Japanese students.

  • Student International Supporters

    Information on our Student International Supporterś (SIS) activities involved in the internationalization of TMU

  • Tutoring System

    TMU’s tutors are students, who support newly enrolled international students in study and life. Tutors are not selected though application process, but assigned by the recommendation from the academic supervisors of international students. For newly assigned tutors, see this link.

  • Resident Assistant Program

    We call for applications from our regular students who are willing to help international students for making their shared living better as a Resident Assistant in TMU International Student Houses.

  • HANDs

    HANDs , a volunteer group at Tokyo Metropolitan University working with the International Center , has been established in 2010 to extend support to international students and to create opportunities for exchanges between international students and Japanese students.
